The provider establishes the following privacy policy ("this policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services provided.
Article 1: Personal Information
"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined by the Personal Information Protection Act. It includes information about a living individual that can identify a specific person, such as their name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, and other descriptions.
Article 2: Methods of Collecting Personal Information
The provider may request personal information, such as email addresses, when users register for the service. Additionally, usage history and access information may be collected during the course of service use.
Article 3: Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information
The provider collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the provider's services
- To respond to user inquiries (including identity verification)
- To communicate maintenance updates, important notices, and other necessary information
- To identify and refuse service to users who violate the terms of use or attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes
- To fulfill purposes related to those listed above
Article 4: Changes to the Purpose of Use
- The provider may change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably deemed to have relevance to the original purpose.
- In the event of a change to the purpose of use, the provider shall notify users of the new purpose by the method specified by the provider or publicly announce it on the service.
Article 5: Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
- The provider will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent from the user, except in the following cases or when permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations:
- When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining the user's consent is difficult
- When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and obtaining the user's consent is difficult
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government or its delegated entity in executing legal duties, and obtaining the user's consent could hinder the execution of those duties
- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the following cases do not fall under the provision of personal information to third parties:
- When the provider entrusts the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- When personal information is provided as part of a business transfer due to a merger or other reason
